Federal Regulation:

In accordance with federal regulation, The Credit Architect charges retroactively for the service it performs. This means you will be billed each month for work performed the previous month.

Payment:

Your initial payment of $59.99 is due within the first fifteen days and covers the most expensive portion of your retainer: your case setup. We complete this step prior to drafting your first payment. Each month thereafter you will receive an itemized invoice for work performed the previous month.

The amount of work will vary from time to time, and you will find that we often perform more work than the $39.99 fee covers (but never less work than that.) Of course, you will not be charged for the additional work. Your monthly retainer fee is fixed at $39.99 and will never exceed that amount.

Note that we offer a warranty of service under which we will refund some or all of your retainer fees if enough disputed items aren’t deleted to meet our high standards of success.

Methods of payment:

We accept payments by credit card or by automatic draft from your checking or savings account. The payment method you choose will be used to pay your initial fee of $59.99 within the first fifteen days, and for all subsequent monthly payments as they become due.

No matter which method you choose, rest assured we will take all reasonable precautions to avoid posting unauthorized charges to your credit card or making unauthorized drafts on your bank account. Charges will be posted only on the dates as dictated by your billing cycle, and only in the amount approved by you.

Dishonored payments:

Should a payment be returned dishonored by your bank or credit card company, we will redraft the payment and add a $15.00 late fee. We will continue to draft your account during a 30-day period until payment is received. If your payment has not been received after 30 days your case will be suspended until payment arrangements can be made. Should you wish to change a scheduled payment we require that you notify us at least three business days prior to payment.

For related questions please see our FAQ section or contact us directly.

Why must payments be made by automatic draft or credit card?:

Over the years we found that many client payments weren’t coming in on time or sometimes not at all. It became so expensive to collect our fees that we began considering significant price increases. The attorneys decided, instead, to set up all the payments as electronic drafts or credit card drafts. In the final analysis, direct drafts succeeded in reducing late and missed payments and retainer prices did not increase.

What is an electronic transfer?
An electronic transfer works just like a bank debit card. You provide us authorization to withdraw a specific amount from your checking or savings account on a certain date each month. The draft will show on your bank statement just like a debit or ATM card draft.
What if I cannot afford you right away?

If you feel that you cannot afford our retainer fees at this time, we recommend you revisit the matter once you have successfully balanced your budget. Our services are designed to help those who have passed through credit problems in the past and who have inaccuracies on their credit reports.
